R. WYATT MICK, JR.

Wyatt Mick was born and raised in Sturgis, Michigan.  After graduating from high school, Mr. Mick attended the University of Michigan where he received a BBA in 1950 and a JD in 1953.  After graduation from law school, Mr. Mick was drafted in to the US Army.  He served in the US Army for two years from 1953-1955.  Upon his departure from the Army, Mr. Mick began his legal career.

 

Mr. Mick was admitted to practice law in Michigan in 1954 and served as Law Clerk to Judge John S. Martin on the US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit in the late 1950’s.  In 1959, he was admitted to the bar in Indiana.  Mr. Mick’s career in Indiana has entailed work as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for St. Joseph County in 1963, City Attorney for the City of Mishawaka from 1964-1980, local counsel through Bingham & Loughlin, PC in the Uniroyal sex discrimination case in the 1970’s and advising clients in private practice from 1959 to present.

 

In addition to his outstanding legal service, Mr. Mick serves the Michiana area through community involvement, including: Indiana Commission on Aging (board member 1970-1980), Presidential Elector for Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Robert Dole, and Real Services of St. Joseph County (Board Member 1965-Present).

 

Mr. Mick has a tremendous amount of legal experience and knowledge to provide high quality legal service to Bingham & Loughlin’s clients.  Today Mr. Mick handles a variety of legal issues for clients; however, the majority of his work is currently in assisting clients with wills, estate planning, trusts, guardianships, contract issues, real estate and municipal law.
